One Wednesday afternoon while contemplating what God was saying to me in this season about ministry, the thought of planting a virtual church came into my spirit. I have always been outside the box, and wanted to have a church that is quite different than most. How could I utilize all my gifts and graces and have others come alongside me and utilize theirs as well? I immediately began to interact with two people I trust: Pastor Carl Johnson and Evangelist Charlene Bowden. I asked them to help me brainstorm and give me ideas specifically with sports themes. You see, I am a former Division I basketball player and coach, and I still love athletics and follow it as closely as I can. So, on that day February 12, 2025 Evangelist Charlene came up with T.E.A.M. Church: Teaching, equipping, advancing, mobilizing. We have since shortened the acronym to teach, equip, advance, mobilize. Teaching and equipping happen virtually and we mobilize people to advance God's kingdom agenda locally. The idea is to empower a network of house churches globally to join this glocal (global + local) movement! It is not just about Sunday services or services in general, but about action and doing good! It is about taking the Gospel to the world and not waiting for them to come to us. We look forward to partnering with you!
